Learn how to Design for Impact with our partner, DesignTech High School!


DesignTech is offering their Innovation Certificate Program to Bellarmine freshmen and sophomores to develop design thinking skills: a problem-solving approach used by entrepreneurs, engineers, and global leaders.


After completing this course, students will be eligible for the DesignTech Internship Accelerator, which offers task-based professional internship experience designed to apply innovation skills in a real-world context.


COURSE INFORMATION

  • Classes meet virtually
  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
  • The first class will meet on Wednesday, September 16, 2026
  • The final class will meet on Wednesday, November 18, 2026

The 16 virtual class sessions, accompanied by in-person Maker Lab support, will cover the following topics:

  • Phase 1: Foundations and Framing using Design Thinking
  • Phase 2: Prototype and Test
  • Phase 3: Build and Iterate
  • Phase 4: Finalize and share
